Kemar Christopher "Ding Dong" Dwaine Ottey (born September 29, ) is a dancehall reggae musician and dancer.

He was a dancer before becoming a deejay and dancehall recording artist.^[1]^[2] His most notable songs "Bad Man Forward / Bad Dude Pull Up" (), "Fling" and "Genna Bounce" released in has assisted in his global appeal.^[3] He founded the dancing syndicate Ravers Clavers.

Personal life

Kemar Christopher Dwaine Ottey was born at Jubilee Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica, to Denise Bennett and Ferdinand Ottey.

Kemar Ottey, more popularly known as Ding Dong, has cemented himself in the dancehall space, having maintained and achieved an exceptional level of consistency and dominance. Hailing from Nannyville, Kingston, Ding Dong shot into prominence with his Ravers Clavers dance crew in the in advance s, with the smash slap and accompanying dance move — Badman Forward. Dancing career

Dancing and football were Ding Dong's passions, until the demands of each forced him to choose between them.

In early , he joined the Flatbush Dance crew and spent many days and nights performing for community members and onlookers alike.

Dancing soon consumed his life and in , Ding Dong decided to commit his all in this art form, putting football on the back burner.

It was an event called Early Monday in the community of Standpipe where Ding met selector Tony Matterhorn who upon seeing his talent promised to take three days to make him established.
